Pasco County, Florida -- Deputies stopped a burglary in progress that turned into attempted arson on Friday night.
Just before midnight on November 1, deputies responded to a burglary in progress call made from a home on Court Street in Zephyrhills.
Deputies located the suspect, Edward Glenn, inside the victim's house. The victim was able to exit the house prior to arrival and was safely at the neighbor's house.
Glenn barricaded himself in a bedroom and started a fire.
Deputies were able to enter the bedroom and attempted to arrest Glenn who resisted with violence and had to be tasered. He continued to fight with deputies after being handcuffed by kicking and biting.
Glenn was eventually transported to an undisclosed hospital were he had to be sedated in order to stop his fighting.
