St. Petersburg, Florida -- St. Petersburg detectives have arrested a man for robbing various banks in Pinellas County.
Wesley Fox was initially arrested by St. Petersburg detectives on October 5th when he was seen fleeing from the scene of a bank robbery at the PNC Bank on 49th Street North.
It was subsequently determined that FOX committed a total of 5 robberies to PNC Banks in St. Petersburg, Largo, Clearwater, and Pasco County.
During the robberies Fox used a small caliber semi-automatic handgun and wore a bullet proof vest. He was subsequently charged with 3 counts of kidnapping, armed kidnapping, and 5 counts of armed bank robbery.
Fox was released from the Pinellas County Jail on Sunday, December 8 and then failed to appear for his pretrial hearing.
Fox was located in Greensville, South Carolina on January 3, and took him into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
