Winter Haven, Florida -- Two people have been arrested for human trafficking after authorities say they confined a 21-year-old woman against her will in a home in Winter Haven.
Deputies located the victim during a well-being check, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. The victim reportedly told the deputies she was beaten and held against her will.
After an investigation and extensive interviews, detectives arrested 21-year-old Marisol Rodriguez and charged her with one count Human Trafficking and one count Principal to Human Trafficking.
An arrest warrant has also been issued for Rodriguez's boyfriend, 29-year-old Devin "Smooth" Dixon. He is charged with one count False Imprisonment, one count Felony Battery, and one count Battery.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is assisting PCSO with locating Dixon, who may be in Polk or Hillsborough County.
Rodriguez has been booked into the Polk County Jail, where she is being held on $10,500 bond.
