ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - A local red-light camera critic is again calling on the city of St. Petersburg to refund more than 1,000 red light camera tickets issued because the yellow light was too short.
Matt Florell helped identify a yellow light at Eastbound 1st Ave. S. and 34th St. S that didn't meet the state's new minimums, prompted by 10 Investigates' original reporting.

St. Petersburg extended the light, but Florell has released another report on his website slamming the city for refusing to refund money.
City council will discuss the issue again this Thursday after a contentious January workshop on the same issue.
Mayor Rick Kriseman has indicated he would address the red light camera questions, and was scheduled to meet with the city traffic officials on Monday and Tuesday.
