Jesuit baseball falls in 5A semifinal

Port St. Lucie, Florida - Jesuit HS, the top-ranked prep baseball team in the nation according to Baseball America, lost Thursday in the State 5A semifinal game, 3-0, to Plantation American Heritage.

American Heritage was ranked #2 in the nation.

The game was scoreless heading into the 8th inning, when Brandon Diaz of American Heritage slammed a 3-run home run.  Diaz was the #9 hitter.

Jesuit couldn't score in the bottom of the 8th, and lost 3-0 ... just their second loss of the season.
