Vitale invited 6 young cancer survivors to be his guests for the evening.
Guests included basketball coaches Gary Williams, formerly of Maryland; Jay Wright of Villanova; Rick Pitino of Louisville; Tom Izzo of Michigan State; Leonard Hamilton of Florida State; college football analyst Lou Holtz; and USF football coach Skip Holtz.
Also spotted in the crowd was Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and Tampa Bay Rays founder Vince Naimoli.
