Tampa, FL-- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have come through for two youth football teams that had their equipment stolen.

On Monday, the Bucs will donate $11,000 to the Highland Pines Cougars and the Carrollwood Cardinals, to replace their stolen gear.

The Cougars, from the Unity Youth Football League in Jackson Heights, and the Cardinals from the Tampa Bay Youth Football League, had their equipment rooms vandalized within the past 2 weeks.  Between the two, they lost more than $10,000 in football helmets, shoulder pads, and other equipment.

Program organizers said the prognosis for the season, didn't look good.

But the Bucs came to the rescue.  The team will donate money to replace all the gear, at separate ceremonies on Monday afternoon.  Several Bucs' players will attend the check presentations.
