In week three of high school play it was a battle of two Pinellas County powers, as the Countryside Cougars hosted the Largo Packers. But unlike last week, when Countryside ran all over East Lake, the Cougars seemed to be lacking on offense. The game was simply dominated by Largo, and it showed starting on the first score of the night, which was a safety by Largo.
Later in the first Largo kept things rolling with a ten yard scamper from Jarvis Stewart, to make it 9-0.
In the second quarter the Packers continued their dominance with an impressive 68-yard run from Juwan Brown.
After the half, it was Derrick Doss adding a 7-yard touchdown run in the third.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for Countryside, Largo's Reggie Moore intercepted a pass, and took it back to the house for 50 yard score.
But there was one bright spot for the Cougars, as they managed a late touchdown in the 4th, to break up the shut out.
In the end Largo ran away with this one 28-7.
