New York, NY-- Published reports say the New York Yankees are in talks to trade third-baseman Alex Rodriguez.

One scenario, reported by Keith Olbermann, has them dealing Rodriguez to the Miami Marlins for disappointing relief pitcher Heath Bell.

No matter where they trade the slumping Rodriguez, the Yankees will most likely have to pick up a large chuck of his salary, if they do.  The team still owes him $114 million over the next 5 years.

Rodriguez is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's ALCS game with Detroit.  He is in a 3 for 23 slump in the post-season.
