Eagles edge Bucs, 23-21, on final play

TAMPA, Florida --  The Philadelphia Eagles edged the Bucs, 23-21, on the final play of the game.

The Bucs had grabbed a 21-10 lead with 7:21 left in the 4th quarter. But rookie QB Nick Foles led the Eagles on two touchdown drives. He hit Clay Harbor on an 11-yard touchdown, with 3:55 left, to make it a 21-16 game.

The Eagles got the ball back, with about 2:00 left.  Foles led them on a 64 yard drive that culminated in a 1-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin as time expired.

The Bucs lead the Philadelphia Eagles, 21-10, with 7:21 left in the 4th quarter.

The Bucs came alive in the second half after the emotional Super Bowl reunion festivities at halftime.

Josh Freeman hit Mike Williams with a touchdown pass, to make it a 10-7 Eagles' lead.

In the 4th, Freeman connected with Vincent Jackson on a 13 yard touchdown pass, and the Bucs had their first lead of the day, 14-10.

Seven minutes later, Doug Martin ran in from 9 yards out, to make it a 21-10 Bucs lead.

Martin had 105 yards rushing on the game, and Jackson had 131 yards receiving.

At halftime the Bucs went into the lockerroom trailing 10-0, with Josh Freeman struggling just 5 of 16 passing for 61 yds. The rushing attack is also reeling with 50 yards.

The Bucs finally got on the scoreboard in the third quarter when Freeman hit Mike Williams for a touchdown. Pulling the Bucs with in 3. At the end of the quarter the Bucs offense trailed on the scoreboard and total yardage 203 to the Eagles 239.

The loss deflates the Bucs' hopes of a Wild Card playoff berth, and the defensive collapse in the 4th quarter comes with the 2002 Super Bowl team -- one of the best defenses in team history -- looking on.
