New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow (15) leaves the field at the end of an NFL football game against the New England Patriots

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (WTLV) -- ESPN is reporting that Tim Tebow will be joining the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2013 season.
According to ESPN, Tebow reportedly will be traded or released after
the season, but league sources say the Jets are likely to honor Tebow's
forthcoming request to be released and therefore become an unrestricted
free agent.
According to ESPN's Chris Mortenson, the Jaguars will have an open
quarterback competition and a team source conceded it's a "high
likelihood" Tebow will be part of the mix.
Things are different in Jacksonville since Tebow chose the Jets over the Jaguars when he was traded by the Broncos in March.
Jacksonville owner Shad Khan wanted Tebow. But there was no
assurance Tebow would be able to compete for the quarterback job because
the Jaguars were committed to Blaine Gabbert, their first round pick.
Gabbert was inconsistent again as a starter and eventually landed on
injured reserve. Chad Henne took over as the starter and has been
inconsistent on a team hurt by injuries.
