Tampa, Florida -- Steve Spurrier will make his second appearance at the Outback Bowl Tuesday when South Carolina squares off with Michigan.

But coming to Tampa is always a homecoming for the Ol' Ball coach. When he was a young ball coach for the Bandits in 1983, Spurrier got his first head coaching job in Tampa Bay.

Today, sporting a slightly new look from the 80's, Spurrier is looking to reverse his fortunes at the new home of the Outback Bowl and get his first Bowl win in Tampa. Surprisingly, he actually has a losing record in the postseason with an 8-10 record.

He's done a great job turning around South Carolina's program though and a win over Michigan will add to his ever growing list of accomplishments.

"I get a chance to be the all-time winningest Bowl coach though if we're successful on the 1st. I think, Lou Holtz won two, yeah, he's the winningest with two," Spurrier said while smiling at practice Thursday at Jefferson High School.
