New York, NY-- The felony gun charge against Bucs' defensive end Da'Quan Bowers, was dismissed in a New York courtroom today.

Instead, Bowers pled guilty to a lesser disorderly conduct charge, and paid a fine.  He will not have a criminal record.

Bowers' attorney, Dennis Coppin, argued that there was no criminal intent, but an honest mistake.  He said that Bowers did not realize he had the gun in his possession, and when he remembered, he alerted authorities.

Bowers is set to be the Bucs' starting left defenisve end, when off-season workouts begin next week.
