St. Petersburg, FL-- In his first trip back to Tropicana Field since he was hit in the head by a line drive nine days ago, the Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Alex Cobb said he would pitch again this season.

"I've had some nightmares since it happened," Cobb told reporters.  "but today has been the best day so far."

Cobb said he's had good days and bad days. He suffered a concussion and says the headaches were very bad for the first few days.  All he did was take a few walks with his girlfriend and his dog, watch TV, and visit the mall once.

But his doctor was encouraged by Monday's visit, saying Cobb was making progress.

"I've heard the stories that I would be out the rest of the year.  That is so far from the truth.  I'll pitch again.  I just have to wait until my body tells me I'm ready."

The 25-year old has been placed on the 7-day concussion disabled list, and the Rays have no timetable for his return to the mound.
