St. Petersburg, FL -- Tampa Bay Rays left-hander Matt Moore has been added to the American League All-Star team.

Manager Joe Maddon made the announcement after Thursday's game. Moore replaces Texas' Yu Darvish on the squad, who went on the disabled list Wednesday.

Moore won his 13th game Thursday, as the Rays finished a 4-game sweep of Minnesota.  Moore is 13-3 with a 3.44 ERA.  Many baseball people and Rays fans were shocked when Moore was originally left off the team last weekend.

Moore is tied for the major league lead in wins, with Detroit's Max Scherzer, at 13. He joins Ben Zobrist as the only Rays named to this year's All-Star team.
