Clearwater, FL -- Clearwater Central Catholic jumped out to an early 19-0 lead and held off Countryside, 22-13, in the two team's kickoff classic at Marauder Stadium.
CCC freshman running back C.J. Cotman sprinted to a 45-yard touchdown. That gave the Marauders a 19-0 lead.
Countryside defensive back Michael Johnson, who has committed to Florida State, returned a blocked field goal 74 yards for a touchdown.
CCC is one of the top teams in Pinellas County, and considered a potential state championship team.
