The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Friday afternoon that offensive lineman Carl Nicks has officially been ruled out of the Sunday's regular season opener against the New York Jets.

The team lists a foot injury as the reason for Nicks being out but the All-Pro guard has been dealing with MRSA as well as a toe injury.

The team also announced that tight end Tom Crabtree (ankle) is officially out of Sunday's game. Running back Mike James (Eye) and fullback Erik Lorig (calf) are listed as questionable. Rashaan Melvin (hamstring) is listed as doubtful after not practicing all week. Cornerback Darrelle Revis (knee) and Demar Dotson (back) are both listed as probable.

The Bucs and Jets kick off the season at 1 p.m. this Sunday.
