Tampa, FL - Jefferson quarterback Deiondre Porter is the 10 News Sports Player of the Week.
Last Friday night in a 53-13 win over Lennard, Porter accounted for six touchdowns, three rushing and three passing.
Porter threw for 234 yards completing 7 of 17 passes, while rushing for 131 yards on only nine carries.
For the season, Porter has gone through the air for 1358 yards, with 15 TD's and only two interceptions. On the ground, the senior quarterback has scored nine touchdowns, rushing for 779 yards, an average of nearly nine yards a carry.
Porter credit's his success to his O-line, a group he says he doesn't thank enough.
"I probably don't give my line enough credit. Shout out to Kenny, Josh Marrero, Zach Buchanan, Geno Harrington and TJ Williams. They keep them boys off me. They fight, they're dogs. I love them. Love them to death."
