Tampa, Florida -- Rays' minor league pitcher Taylor Guerrieri has been suspended for 50-games for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
This is the hurler's second violation. Guerrieri finished the 2013 season with single-A Bowling Green of the Midwest League, with a 6-2 record and a 2.01 ERA in 14 games.
The 50-game penalty will be served at the start of the 2014 season.
Guerrieri is considered by Baseball America to be among the Rays' top 25 prospects.
