Tampa, Florida-- This weekend the Bucs will face, perhaps, the most difficult player in the league to cover 1-on-1: Detroit Lions superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

He is - to be frank - a physical freak of nature. Johnson is 6-foot-5, 236 pounds of chiseled, speedy, future Hall of Fame talent. He leads the NFL in touchdown catches (11) and receiving yards (1,083) for a team that's desperately trying to inch its way into the NFC playoff picture.

That said, the Bucs don't sound scared.

Monday afternoon, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, who had his best game of the season Sunday against the Falcons, hinted that Johnson's nickname was a little less scary than it sounds.

"Everybody wants to talk about 'Megatron' but we've got "Optimus Prime' and everybody knows how that ended in the movie," he said with a smile. "Optimus Prime came out on top. So, we have a counter for Megatron."

Transformers fans can read between the lines to understand what McCoy is saying. Megatron and Optimus Prime are fictional characters from the Transformers movie and television series. They're enemies and engage in epic, galactic battles.

That's why McCoy has nicknamed new Bucs defensive star Darrelle Revis, 'Optimus Prime'. McCoy expects some epic battles on the football field this weekend, just like the characters on the silver screen.

"I might stop rushing just to turn around and watch it," said McCoy, who had a career-high three sacks against Atlanta. "That's going to be a great matchup man."

The Bucs travel to face the Lions on Sunday. After starting the season 0-8, Tampa Bay is on a two-game winning streak.
