GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Florida coach Will Muschamp says quarterback Tyler Murphy's injured throwing shoulder is "much, much, much improved."
Muschamp says Murphy threw passes in practice Tuesday, but remains questionable to play Saturday against Georgia Southern.
Murphy missed last week's loss at South Carolina because of the injury. Skyler Mornhinweg made his first start, completing 10 of 13 passes for 107 yards. His interception late in the fourth quarter ended any chance of a comeback in the 19-14 loss, Florida's fifth in a row.
Muschamp expects to make a decision on Murphy before Saturday and says, "It's all about his comfort level. Right now, the shoulder is stable and all of that. It's all about his comfort level."
Murphy is 2-4 in six starts this season, all since replacing injured Jeff Driskel.
