(USA Today)-- Lindsey Vonn is ready to test her knee again. She will make her first downhill training runs of the World Cup season Wednesday at Lake Louise, Alberta, the U.S. Ski Team announced.
She'll decide whether to compete in downhill races Friday and Saturday and in Sunday's super G after her final downhill training runs Thursday.
Vonn is trying to return to competition after partially tearing the ACL in her reconstructed right knee two weeks ago. She says she is putting off surgery until after the Sochi Olympics.
A release from the Ski Team said Vonn felt strong after training in super G at Vail, Colo., last weekend. She has been cleared by her doctor, Bill Sterett, to begin downhill training.
