Seffner, Florida - Armwood High School wide receiver Hunter Zilbar is the 10 News Sports Player of the Week.
Last Friday night in Armwood's thrilling 35-28 triple overtime victory over Bartram Trail, Zilbar made several key third down catches, as well as a diving touchdown grab at the pylon in the first overtime.
The Armwood senior isn't the Hawks biggest or fastest wide receiver, but when quarterback Noah Johnson is in trouble, Zilbar is definitely the go to guy.
Zilbar has a knack for getting open and being in the right place at the right time. Zilbar says those clutch moments and pressure situations are what he plays for.
"That's something I like. I enjoy it. You get either the most glory or the most criticism. But at the same time, it's enjoyable whenever you make that play. You feel good about yourself... get your confidence up for later on in the game... cause you'll probably have to make a bigger play."
This Saturday the Hawks (14-0) will face Miami Central (13-1), one of the top ranked teams in the nation, for the Class 6A state championship.
