Against the NFL's fourth ranked defense, the Bucs struggled to move the ball in their season home finale. The 49ers suffocated the Buccaneers attack in the first half holding them 98 yards of offense.
San Francisco grabbed control of the scoreboard in the first quarter with a 69 yard, 11-play drive capped off with a Colin Kaepernick touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree.
The 49ers extended their lead to 10-0 in the second quarter with a Phil Dawson 47-yard field goal. San Francisco put another seven on the board on the first play after the two-minute warning. Kaepernick connected on a 52-yard deep pass to tight end Vernon Davis making it 17-0.
Tampa Bay finally found the endzone on their final possession before halftime when Mike Glennon hit Vincent Jackson for an 11-yard touchdown pass. The score capped off the Bucs best drive of the ball game going 80-yards on 7-plays. San Francisco led 17-7 at halftime.
In the second half, the 49ers continued to put up points. Dawson kicked a 43-yard field goal improving their lead to 20-7. Moving in to the 4th quarter, the Bucs trail the 49ers by 13.
