St. Petersburg, Florida -- On Christmas, one Florida State Seminole is trying to make the end of 2013 a memorable one for one FSU fan.
Seminoles sophomore lineman Michael Scheerhorn's brother, Daniel, was diagnosed with brain cancer when he was a child. The family went to the Children's Cancer Center to find medical help.
The experience touched Michael so much that the former Tampa Catholic star has decided to pay it forward.
USA Today Sports reported earlier this week that Scheerhorn is trying to raise $5,000 to send a current cancer patient and his or her parent to watch the 'Noles play Auburn in the national title game on January 6. The game is being played in Pasadena, Calif.
