Now that football season is officially over in the state of Florida, lets get you pigskin fans caught up on all the of hoops action you may have missed since the season tipped off just before Thanksgiving.

SOUTH FLORIDA BULLS: 9-6 (0-2 American Athletic Conference)

Stan Heath's Bulls started hot. USF won its first four games before falling to nationally ranked Oklahoma State and Detroit back-to-back. Victor Rudd leads the team in points (15.7) and rebounds (7.1) per game while junior college transfer Corey Allen Jr. has played well while starting point guard Anthony Collins has missed time with various injuries.

USF has a pair of 4-game winning streaks this season and three of their six losses have come by five points or less.

The Bulls dropped their first two conference games but travel to face Temple on Thursday. USF is 3-0 on the road for the first time since the 1998-99 season and a victory over the Owls would get the Bulls to 4-0 for the first time in program history.

The Gators are the state's top program after two months of basketball. The Gators are ranked No. 10 in the nation and their only losses have come against fellow ranked opponents.

The Gators' biggest win came against their biggest rival. Florida downed Florida State in Gainesville, 67-66 thanks to a dramatic finish. Dorian Finney-Smith made a free throw with 1.3 seconds left and FSU's last-second heave from mid-court bounced off the rim. The Gators survived but the next day, the FSU football team destroyed the Gators, 37-7, so 'Noles fans did get the last laugh.

On the court, Florida lost to No. 20 Wisconsin by six and No. 12 UCONN by one. Both of those games were on the road. At the O'Connell Center, Florida beat No. 13 Kansas and No. 15 Memphis by six and two points respectively in back-to-back games in mid-December.

The Gators host South Carolina in their first SEC game of the season on Wednesday.

The Seminoles just won a national title on the football field and are hoping to match that on the court. Like the Bulls, they also have a pair of 4-game win streaks.

The 'Noles lost that heartbreaker to the Gators in Gainesville but bounced back with a win over No. 22 ranked UMASS at home just three weeks later.

Okaro White, from Clearwater, leads the team in rebounding (6.7) and is second in points (13.0) per game. FSU plays its first ACC road game on Thursday against Clemson.
