Bondi bets oranges on Gators to win Citrus Bowl

Bondi bets crate of oranges on Citrus Bowl

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Attorney General Pam Bondi is betting fruit on the Florida Gators.

Bondi is wagering a crate of Fresh From Florida Oranges on a Gators win in Friday's Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl. The Gators will take on the Michigan Wolverines in Orlando.

The bet is between Bondi and Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, who is offering up a bushel of Michigan apples in favor of the Wolverines.

"Beating the Michigan Wolverines will be as easy as apple pie, which I plan to enjoy after watching my Florida Gators win the Citrus Bowl," said Bondi. "Go Gators!"

"The University of Michigan will certainly prove to be victors over the Gators," said Schuette. "I'm looking forward to having freshly squeezed orange juice on the table in Midland next week."

Bondi is a third-generation Florida Gator.
