Land O'Lakes rallies past Mitchell, 21-17

New Port Richey, FL-- Land O'Lakes scored with less than 2 minutes to go, to beat Mitchell, 21-17, and land a spot in the playoffs as district runners-up.

Land O'Lakes led 7-3 heading into the 4th quarter, when both teams combined for 4 touchdowns.  Stevie Weatherford hit Will Irwin with a 78 yard touchdown pass, to give the Gators a 14-10 lead...

Mitchell responded when Ricky Trinidad ran one in from 5 yards out, to put the Mustangs ahead, 17-14.

But with less than 2 minutes to go, Weatherford hit Irwin again with a 24 yard td pass, as Land O'Lakes pulled out the 21-17 victory.  Weatherford completed 10-17 passes for 240 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Mitchell's Ricky Trinidad rushed 36 times for 185 yards, and a pair of touchdowns.

Land O'Lakes will travel to Jefferson, for its playoff opener two weeks from tonight.
