Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim placed
reliever LaTroy Hawkins on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a fractured
right pinkie finger.
Hawkins injured the finger while making the catch on an Omar Vizquel
comebacker that resulted in a game-ending double-play in Sunday's 4-3 victory
over the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 39-year-old righty has an 0-1 record with a 1.08 earned run average in 10
appearances out of the bullpen for the Halos.
To take his place on the roster, the Angels selected the contract of right-
hander David Pauley, who holds a 2.29 ERA in 19 2/3 innings with Triple-A Salt
Lake this season.
