Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - New York Mets catcher Josh Thole left
Tuesday night's game against the Phillies after a collision at home plate with
Ty Wigginton.
Thole was over the plate when Wigginton slid into him, catching him across the
jaw with his left shoulder.
Thole spent several minutes face-down in the dirt before laboring off the
field and into the dugout. He was replaced behind the plate by Mike Nickeas.
Wigginton was out on the play.
