Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Andrew McCutchen finished 4-for-4 with a
solo home run and two RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates topped the Washington
Nationals, 4-2, in the middle tilt of a three-game set at PNC Park.
Neil Walker and Casey McGehee added an RBI apiece for the Pirates, who have
taken the first two games of this series.
Brad Lincoln (2-0) tossed three innings of relief to earn the victory behind
starter Erik Bedard, who was removed after just one inning due to back spasms.
Lincoln allowed one unearned run on a hit and a walk while fanning four. Joel
Hanrahan struggled in the ninth but picked up his sixth save of the year.
Chad Tracy drove in a run with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly and Xavier Nady added
an RBI base hit for the Nats, who have lost six in a row on the road and three
straight overall.
Ross Detwiler (3-2) gave up three runs on seven hits and did not walk a batter
while striking out four.
