Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles placed third baseman
Mark Reynolds on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a strained left
oblique.
Reynolds is batting .191 with two homers and nine RBI this season.
The Orioles also selected the contract of utility player Bill Hall from
Triple-A Norfolk. Hall, 32, was hitting .222 in 15 games for the Tides.
A veteran of over 1,000 major league games, Hall saw time with Houston and San
Francisco last season.
To make room for Hall on the 40-man roster, the Orioles designated pitcher
Brad Bergesen for assignment.
