Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Buster Posey went 2-for-4 with a two-run home
run and an RBI double as the San Francisco Giants downed the Milwaukee
Brewers, 6-4, in the middle test of a three-game set at Miller Park.
Joaquin Arias smacked his first major league home run -- a two-run shot to
left -- and Angel Pagan knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly for the Giants,
who have won four of their last five games.
Matt Cain (4-2) allowed four runs on 11 hits and did not issue a walk while
fanning eight to earn his first win against the Brewers since the 2009 season.
Sergio Romo tossed a perfect eighth and Santiago Casilla worked around a walk
in the ninth to earn his 11th save of the season, despite pitching two innings
in Monday's 14-inning victory.
Rickie Weeks crushed a two-run double, Norichika Aoki added an RBI two-bagger
and Ryan Braun, who was in the starting lineup despite leaving Monday's game
in the 10th inning due to groin tenderness, contributed an RBI single in the
loss for Milwaukee, which has dropped six of its last seven.
Shaun Marcum (2-3) allowed six runs on five hits and two walks while whiffing
five over six innings to take the loss.
