Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Detroit Tigers made several roster
moves Friday, placing outfielder Austin Jackson on the 15-day disabled list,
retroactive to May 17, with an abdominal strain, activating pitcher Luis Marte
off the disabled list and activating infielder/outfielder Ryan Raburn off the
bereavement list.
Jackson has hit .331 with a .414 on-base percentage, 10 doubles, five home
runs, 17 RBI and 29 runs scored through 36 games for Detroit this season.
Marte has made four appearances out of the bullpen for the Tigers, pitching to
a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA in 3 2/3 innings before being sidelined since
April 4 with a left hamstring strain.
Raburn returns to the team after missing Cleveland's three-game sweep of
Detroit from May 22-24. He has a .144 average with a homer and six RBI in 34
contests.
