Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Justin Upton hit a two-run home run and drove in three as Arizona downed Houston, 13-8, in the opener of a three-game series.

Stephen Drew drove in three, Miguel Montero went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and a run scored while Aaron Hill had three hits and two runs scored for the Diamondbacks, who had lost five of seven coming in. Trevor Cahill (8-8) gave up four runs -- three earned -- on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings to get the win.

Scott Moore hit a three-run homer while Carlos Corporan hit his first career home run and drove in two for the Astros, who have lost four straight and eight of nine. Bud Norris (5-8) lost his seventh straight start as he was torched for nine runs on six hits with five walks and seven strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings
