Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers activated catcher Yorvit Torrealba from the restricted list on Saturday.

The 34-year-old Venezuelan had been out of action awaiting the birth of his daughter. He had been originally placed on the paternity list, then was moved to the restricted list on Friday.

To make room on the roster, the Rangers optioned catcher Luis Martinez to Triple-A Round Rock.
