Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Ryan Court hit a tie-breaking two-run single
in the top of the eighth inning that lifted the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 4-2
win over the Chicago White Sox in a Cactus League matchup.
A.J. Pollock had a solo homer earlier in the game for Arizona, while Martin
Prado went 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the victory.
Diamondbacks starter Brandon McCarthy worked six innings, limiting the White
Sox to a pair of runs while scattering 10 hits.
Jordan Danks finished 2-for-3 with a solo homer for Chicago, with Gordon
Beckham collecting three hits and Jeff Keppinger going 2-for-2 in the setback.
Gavin Floyd struck out five Arizona hitters while yielding two runs over the
first five innings, with Dylan Axelrod surrendering a pair of runs in three
frames to record the loss.
