Jupiter, FL (Sports Network) - Chris Coghlan's single in the bottom of the
ninth scored the winning run in the Miami Marlins' 6-5 victory over the St.
Louis Cardinals on Saturday.
Gorkys Hernandez added three RBI and Austin Nola contributed a run scoring
single to the victory. Zach Phillips picked up the win after coming in and
getting out of a bases load jam in the top of the ninth.
Miami starter Nathan Eovaldi tossed six innings and allowed three runs on nine
hits.
Matt Holliday went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, while Yadier Molina, Pete Kozma
and Matt Adams each plated a run as well for St. Louis.
Lance Lynn pitched 5 2/3 innings in the start for the Cardinals, giving up
three runs on four hits while striking out five.
