St. Petersburg, Florida-- After the latest story concerning the possible trade of David Price before the July 31 deadline, the Tampa Bay Rays' left-hander admitted to reporters the stories bother him.
ESPN's Buster Olney reported that baseball officials around the league are saying the time is now to trade Price ... although he wrote that a trade is not imminent.
"I don't think about it," Price first told reporters before Tuesday's game with the Pirates. "Well, obviously, I think about it, that's why I've been in a bad mood the past week and a half. So, yeah, I think about it, you guys know that ... It's nothing I really want to talk about, I don't have an answer for you guys. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know when I'm going, so there's nothing I really have to comment on. There's nothing I can do to help you guys."
When asked if he realized Wednesday's start could be his last at Tropicana Field in a Rays' uniform, Price said, "I thought that was the case in 2013 ... I thought that was my last start here."
