New York, NY (Sports Network) - NBA executive vice president of basketball
operations Stu Jackson announced Friday that Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus
Cousins has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of NBA officiating.
Cousins' comments came after a hard-fought 93-85 loss to the Los Angeles
Clippers Thursday night.
"I guess the wind from my hand hit him in the eye," Cousins said about being
called for his fifth foul on Clippers forward Blake Griffin. "I guess he got
fouled by the wind."
Cousins is averaging a double-double this year with 18.0 points and 10.9
rebounds per game, but had just eight points and three rebounds before fouling
out of Thursday's loss at Power Balance Pavilion.
