(Sports Network) - The Denver Nuggets are a deep and talented bunch that
possess much of what you need to win in the NBA with the exception of a solid
low-post scoring threat.
The Nuggets love to race out in transition but can bog down in the half-court
set. Trading Nene for JaVale McGee, a restricted free agent, upped the club's
athleticism and defense but hampered it offensively.
Denver must re-sign McGee and find an offensive compliment inside. The team
may not be able to fill that hole immediately at No. 20 but finding a
contributor with upside certainly is not. Heck, the Nuggets were able to grab
undersized rebounding machine Kenneth Faried with the 22nd selection last
year.
A project like St. Bonaventure's Andrew Nicholson or a falling top-tier talent
like Jared Sullinger of Ohio State or Baylor's Perry Jones could be feasible.
