Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah is
expected to miss his third straight game when the team travels to Indiana to
face the Pacers on Monday.
Noah has been battling plantar fasciitis, an injury which forced him to miss
18 games during the 2009-10 campaign. However, his previous bout occurred in
his left foot, whereas his present ailment is taking place in his right.
While he doesn't believe he'll play on Monday, he is hopeful to return
Thursday when the Bulls take on the Denver Nuggets.
Noah is averaging career bests in points and rebounding this season, scoring
12.1 points while hauling in 11.3 boards per game.
In other injury related news, guard Kirk Hinrich will also be out for Monday's
contest, missing his third straight game with an elbow infection. However,
forward Carlos Boozer is optimistic he will play against the Pacers after
sitting out the last three contests with a sore hamstring.
