Miami Heat doesn't hold back

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - The Miami Heat managed to turn the tables on the Spurs in the early going tonight in San Antonio, jumping out to a 22-6 lead and carrying a 29-22 advantage into the second quarter in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. LeBron James sizzled in the first half, shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc in the first quarter. James already had 17 points and six rebounds through 12 minutes.

The Heat's strong start comes after they were outscored by 40 points in the first half of the last two games, allowing the Spurs to take a three-games-to-one lead in the series.

None of the 31 other teams that previously faced 3-1 series deficits in the finals have managed to win.
