Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Gary Bell Jr. drained the go-ahead three-
pointer with 37 seconds left and the 10th-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs held on
for a 69-68 win over No. 22 Oklahoma State on Monday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Bell finished with eight points, while Kevin Pangos scored a team-high 23
points on 7-of-12 shooting and handed out five assists for the Bulldogs
(13-1), who have won four straight since suffering an 85-74 loss to Illinois
on Dec. 8.
Kelly Olynyk did not attempt a field goal in the first half, but bounced back
with 21 points and nine rebounds in the second 20 minutes during the victory.
Freshman Marcus Smart led Oklahoma State (10-2) with 23 points and six
assists, while Markel Brown added 16 points and Phil Forte finished with 15
points on 5-of-8 shooting from 3-point range as the Cowboys' five-game winning
streak came to an end.
