Davidson, NC (Sports Network) - Jake Cohen recorded 28 points as the Davidson
Wildcats defeated the Montana Grizzlies, 93-87, in an overtime BracketBusters
clash at John M. Belk Arena.
De'Mon Brooks was two rebounds shy of a double-double with 18 points for the
Wildcats (21-7). JP Kuhlman and Chris Czerapowicz contributed 11 points
apiece. Tyler Kalinoski added 10 points as Davidson moved to a 12-game winning
streak.
For the Grizzlies (19-6), Kareem Jamar recorded a double-double with 28 points
and 12 rebounds. Jordan Gregory added 12 points and five boards. Will Cherry
contributed 11 points and five rebounds as Montana lost its second of its last
three games.
In the first half, Montana made 14-of-21 from the floor. Davidson made 17-
of-31 from the floor and a perfect 10-of-10 from the foul line, en route to a
47-38 advantage at the break.
In the second, Davidson was held to 9-of-25 from the floor. Montana made 12-
of-29 field goal attempts and 12-of-17 foul shots. Kareem Jamar nailed
two free-throws with 19 seconds remaining to force overtime.
Montana was held to 5-of-12 from the floor in overtime, while Davidson made 4-
of-5 field goal attempts and added a perfect 8-of-8 effort from the foul line,
en route to the six-point victory.
Davidson made 26-of-29 foul shots and controlled points off turnovers, 14-5.
