Macomb, IL (Sports Network) - Western Illinois senior Caulton Ray and junior
Bryce Flowers were suspended indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of team
rules, head football coach Mark Hendrickson announced Monday.
Ray, a 5-foot-9, 205-pound running back from Southfield, Mich., led WIU in
rushing with 620 yards in eight games last season.
Flowers, a 5-10, 205-pound junior running back from Pittsburg, Calif., rushed
for 158 yards in seven games.
Both players were voted to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-
Newcomer Team in 2010.
"Being a member of the Leatherneck Football program is a privilege. I expect
every student-athlete to uphold the rules and standards we set forth,"
Hendrickson said.
The Leathernecks are wrapping up spring practice this week with an intrasquad
game on Saturday.
