Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - The University of Dayton football team will play
five home games in 2012 as its begins its 11-game schedule with two straight
road games for the first time since 1977.
Dayton will host Robert Morris in non-conference action and then Pioneer
Football League opponents Jacksonville (Sept. 22), Morehead State (Oct. 13),
Valparaiso (Oct. 20) and Drake (Nov. 3).
The Flyers' road games begin at Illinois State (Sept. 1) and Duquesne (Sept.
8) in non-league action. Within the PFL, they will travel to Butler (Sept.
29), Davidson (Oct. 6), San Diego (Oct. 27) and Marist (Nov. 10).
Dayton, which was 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the PFL in 2011, returns 14 starters
from that team, led by running back Taylor Harris and linebacker Bryan Bailin,
who made the all-league first team.
