Ogden, UT (Sports Network) - The Big Sky Conference issued suspensions on
Tuesday to four football players for actions in games last week.
Two suspensions involved Idaho State players. Nick Beckman, a sophomore
offensive lineman, was suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against
UC Davis for throwing a punch in a game against Portland State. Freshman
defensive back Taison Manu was suspended for the full game against Portland
State for using the crown of his helmet on a tackle in that game.
UC Davis sophomore linebacker Stephen Pitts was issued a one-game suspension
for tackling using the crown of his helmet on a play in the the Aggies' game
against Montana State. He will serve the suspension against Idaho State.
Cal Poly junior defensive back Alex Hubbard was suspended one game for a
high hit on a defenseless player in the Mustangs' game against Weber State. He
will serve the suspension against Northern Colorado.
