Tampa, FL-- Georgia LB Jarvis Jones was named the Premier Player of College Football, at a USF/Embassy Suites banquet Saturday night.

The five finalists were Jones, Florida RB Mike Gillislee, Kansas State QB CollinKlein, Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel, and Notre Dame LB Manti Te'o.
Jones recorded 22.5 tackles for loss this season for the Bulldogs, and had 12.5 sacks... 3 of them in the win over Florida last October, in Jacksonville. Jones also had 4 sacks against the Gators, in the 2011 game.
The Premier Players Sports Foundation is a nonprofit company based in Tampa. It's mission is to provide orphanages around the world with sports balls, apparel, and league sponsorships to help kids get into the games.
