Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - New England Patriots tight end Rob
Gronkowski is active for the Super Bowl.
Gronkowski had been listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday's
game against the New York Giants because of a high left ankle sprain he
suffered in the AFC Championship Game, but was expected by many to play.
The Patriots' inactive list included quarterback Ryan Mallett, running backs
Kevin Faulk and Shane Vereen, linebacker Gary Guyton, guard Donald Thomas,
center Nick McDonald and defensive tackle Ron Brace.
The Giants' inactives are running back Da'Rel Scott, wide receiver Ramses
Barden, center Jim Cordle, tackle James Brewer, defensive tackle Jimmy
Kennedy, defensive end Justin Trattou and linebacker Mark Herzlich.
